Vicky got her B.Sc. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Gr.T. Popa” Iasi, Romania. In her third year she received an Erasmus scholarship and studied for one semester at the Polytechnic University of Cataluña, Spain. Her final thesis focused on early detection for breast cancer using Microwave Radiometry and Thermography.

She started a M.Sc. in Clinical Engineering in Romania but then she decided to pursue her interest in Neuroscience and she came to the University of Lethbridge. Currently she is working in the Gruber lab studying mechanisms of reward-based learning. In her free time she likes to hike and read a good book (obviously, not at the same time).
