General Information

Recreation

On-campus
The University has a large and modern sports and recreation center that has one of Canada’s largest modular climbing walls, swimming pool, indoor track, basketball/tennis courts, and gymnasium. The University hosts many sports leagues that are open to all, and offers numerous classes such as dance, yoga, and martial arts. In addition, the University has an extensive art collection on display in its gallery and hosts lecturers, plays, and musical performances from local, national and international scholars and artists.

Off-campus
Lethbridge is a little more than 1 hour from the spectacular Rocky mountains, which provides unparalleled options for hiking, rafting, biking and skiing. Waterton/Glacier parks are 90 minutes by car, and are UNESCO world heritage sites well worth visiting at any time of the year. Lethbridge is 2 hours by car to Calgary, which has all the usual cosmopolitan amenities of a major city in a prosperous region. Within Lethbridge, there are many ethnic restaurants and bars, as well as boutique stores and big-box shopping outlets.

University Life
