Research Interests

Alzheimer’s disease (AD), cerebral stroke, epilepsy and traumatic brain injury (TBI) are commonest neurodegenerative disorders. AD is responsible for 60-70% cases of dementia. I am interested in screening the drugs molecules using appropriate experimental models for AD. My research would help in understanding and management of AD. The investigation of newer mechanisms involved in pathophysiology of AD would also be an area of interest for my future research. Therefore, I joined the research group of Dr. Majid Mohajerani and Dr. Robert McDonald at the Canadian Centre for Behavioral Neuroscience (CCBN) as a postdoctoral research associate. My research is focused on the AD and associated risk factors. Before joining CCBN, I was a postdoc fellow in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA during which I worked on the experimental models for AD and traumatic brain injury. I completed my M.Sc and Ph.D in Pharmacology from the Department of Pharmacology at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. I am also graduated with Pharmacy from M.D. University, Rohtak, Haryana, India.
